Fisheating Creek

White sand beaches contrast with dark water caused by tannic acid from the surrounding decaying vegetable matter creating a scene unlike any other location in Florida. Fisheating creek has been known as one of the top photography locations to visit because of the variety of colors, textures and shapes.

We'll hike along the shoreline of one of the river systems stopping along the way to take photos of some of the large Cypress trees growing out of the white sand beaches. The roots of these trees create interesting formations with their knees protruding from the ground within the surrounding area. The majority of this hike will be in a fairly tight trail system, so you won't need a telephoto lens, stick mostly to wide angle lenses. A 50mm lens will suffice for any wildlife opportunities.
